For Home Care Providers:
Home Care Providers needing comprehensive resources should visit Get Smart Aged Care Consultancy for 30+ page colour-coded bundles, covering all aspects of Support at Home.
Anyone approved for a Home Care Package after 12 September 2024 and before 31 October 2025 is considered a transitional participant under the new Support At Home scheme.
This means you will initially enter the system under the current home care package rules and then transition to the rules of the new system, starting on 1 November 2025.
We understand that the transition and new processes can be confusing. To help, we’ve created an easy-to-understand factsheet that highlights the key information you need to know and provides a clear overview of what’s changing.
This factsheet explains the updates to Support at Home for transitional participants. Inside, you’ll find details about new service categories, co-contribution rates, important changes, and answers to your most frequently asked questions, making it simpler to understand what lies ahead.
