The Home Care Package scheme is for anyone aged 65+ needing a little, or a lot of extra help at home, or those 50+ and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Home Care Packages aim to extend your years of healthy and independent living, to keep you well and happy at home where you belong.

And you don't have to wait until things get to breaking point.

Home Care Packages start at $9k per year for those on Level 1 needing a little support, and increase up to $52k per year for those on Level 4 with more advanced care needs.

What can the funds be used for?

Social connections

To help you stay connected with your favourite activities, you can spend on services, such as:

• Transport services
• Personal shoppers & assistance
• Companionship
• Help attending social events
• Computer classes

Home management

You can get help for you personally and for help with home upkeep. Services such as:

• Home gardening & maintenance
• Home safety modifications
• Meal services
• Cleaning & laundry
• Mobility & dexterity devices

Health & wellness

Generally for services and support not already covered by Medicare, such as:

• Help with medications
• Allied Health services (podiatry, physio etc)
• Pain management
• Wound care

Personal safety

Remain well with top health professionals & medical support, including:

• Help with medications
• Allied Health services (podiatry, physio etc)
• Pain management
• Wound care
• Help with medical aids (sight/hearing)
